I bought my RKC in April and have already put over 6k miles on it. As I stated though, I haven't had the opportunity to take it anywhere OTHER THAN WORK. My family has had a number of medical issues, so I really shouldn't be crying as their health is more important than anything else. I would be lieing if I didn't say that I would love to put a thousand miles on her just running in the wind though.
I've had mine since January, and I only have 23XX miles on it. So don't feel bad. I've pretty much only ridden mine to work also, with the occasional 50 mile ride here and there on the weekend. I have to choose which days to ride to work even, since down here in SW Florida, the rain comes up out of no where and then drowns everything in sight. Makes for real scary riding with all these idiots down here on the road!!
Whatcha need is a weekend ride taking off Fri evening and getting home Sunday afternoon. Nothing like it. Of course its hard to tell where you're from with no 'location' noted on your bar....
So far this summer I have put about 8k miles on the glide....and have a couple more months of riding weather left....
Feel your pain, but got to take care of the priorities. We got in a whopping 180 miles yesterday....... woo hoo.
I can't ride to work and due to many family/work issues all year have been regulated to one day rides. Most like yesterday, a few in the 350 up to 465 mile days, but still not the long multi-day rides we would like to be doing.
Hopefully in late September or October we are going to get at least one 3-4 day trip in. We shall see.
Hang in there and hope the family health issues turn around to the positive for you soon.
