Default arizona

was on vacation in arizona and had bike and rode from Flagstaff to Sedona and around area, beautiful area, the road was 89A off of hwy 17 about a mile south of Flagstaff..the ride is one of the prettiest streches of concrete i've ever rode, elevation change goes from probably around 7000 ft to 3800 ft in a 30 mile span, switchbacks and red rock formations are just breathtaking....anyone in that area that can do it should definetely put this on there trip list..also you can continue south of Sedona down to Jerome..some of the best ridin in this country we live in if you ask me...lookin forward to makin monument valley trip and Zion national park and west in Utah to Arches national park..nevr been thru Utah but heard its one of the most beautiful states too.RIDE ON!!

Hey richi --- I agree. I had a sales meeting out there in May. Rented a bike in Phoenix, went up to Kingman, over to Oatman & stayed overnight in Kingman. Next day I went to the south rim, and took 80 to Flagstaff. I had a hotel reservation in Sedona & planned to go down there on 89A anyway, but I didn't know that the canyon/switchbacks were even there until I got to it! What a nice surprise! GREAT ride.

If you get a chance go back down 89 through Prescott. Nice riding through there. The Apache national forest on the eastern side of arizona is a blast too.

East of phoenix is a nice ride along 88 (N. Apache Trail to Tortilla Flat). If you go to far the road turns to dirt but a nice ride up till there.

ARGH! Totally agree ... wifey and I rent an hd every year around 1st of Oct at either Arrowhead or Buddy Stubbs and ride through Prescott up 89A to Jerome, Sedona, Flagstaff... Great circle. Have made this trip many times over ... If any of you have a chance this ride is simply breath taking from the word 'Go'! We have a bike reserved at Arrowhead for this ride in a few weeks.
