Default Midwest Route Selection

I'll be riding from Denver to NC next summer and need some help finding the scenic routes.

From Denver - I'm thinking Dodge City. Any good roads south of I70? Any must see spots in SE Colo or SW Kansas?

Middle Kansas to Missouri - I can make Joplin or so. The terrain map makes it look like Southern MO has some good roads and there's Mark Twain National Forest. I need to pass through the SE corner into Tennessee for gun laws. Again any must see spots/eats/roads?

Joplin, MO to Jackson, TN - Avoiding Illinois at all costs. Roads/sites/eats?

Those legs should only be 350-400 and I ought to have to time to do some touristy stuff and enjoy the ride. Local opinions would really help out!

Dodge city = Boot hill, other than that you have wind, prairie, wind, feed lots, wind and not much more than that other than maybe wind from Denver to Wichita.

If you take 60 across southern missouri you'll go through Sikeston. A must-stop place to eat there is Lamberts. You can get info with google.

Thrown rolls? I'm down. That website would be more helpful if it listed approximate region the ride covered.

Default Cruz'N Arkansas

Northwest Arkansas has some great roads.
Check out my website for more information on this area.
Eureka Springs Arkansas is a great place and just south of Mark Twain National Forest.

I have pictures and some maps of this area at Cruz'N the backroads click on Cruz'N Arkansas link.
Also check out the photo gallery for pictures in that area.
