Have a few questions about the riding in Florida. Getting ready to make the move there. Not disappointed by any means. Much warmer, less clothes on the ladies, etc. But the roads are also much much busier.
Always driven in a cager on 75 north/south, 41 north/south, etc. These roads would be nuts on a motorcycle no doubt. Going to be living just north of tampa and looking for some good backroad riding etc. Have checked the sites that have scenic routes like motorcycleroads.us. But wanted some info from the good local people?
There are actually alot of nice two-lane back roads here and some good riding. Done some riding with the Florida Crew as well and they are a great group of folks and there is a true wealth of information there to point you in the right direction. South Dakota to Tampa, Air Force?
Hey, just joined and I am from very close to where you say you are moving. There are in fact quite a bit of nice roads to ride. Head north to 54 go west, very nice....St pete beach ride is awesome, hit me up and I can tell you more if you would like.
Welcome to FL. If you don't care for busy highways check out a monthly publication called Go Far which features a ridermap in each issue; http://www.gofarmag.com/.
There are a few nice back roads and places to stop in that area. I'm more central but ride out that way a few times a year headed towards the Crystal River area.
