Are you talking about Bald River Falls? I was there last October. Was not much water going over it when I was there.

Yes it is called Bridal Falls the route is from Bryson City NC on highway 28/64 south to Highland NC. Great road with a lot of twists and turns and goes passed several waterfalls.

+1 on 215....rode it last weekend from Canton, NC up to the BRP....it was unbelievable. Lots of waterfalls, pools, twisties.....absolutely outstanding. I rode the BRP from Cherokee up to Canton.

Also.....taking 441 over from Cherokee to Gatlinburg is worth the side trip in my opinion.

cantonrider, how was Gatlinburg? Crowded?

We'll be there next weekend. I love taking 441, but I'm going to find a route that avoids Pigeon Forge. Heard it's pretty bad.

To avoid Pigeon Forge from Sevierville go east on 411 to 416 turn right and stay on 416 to 321 go right at 321 to get back into Gatlinburg. Hwy 416 goes along the Little Pigeon River through Pittman Center.

That's the very route I was looking at. Gotta make it to the Apple Barn and get my fix, doncha know...

Sorry so late in responding....you probably already found out...but Gatlinburg was crowded....but it always is when I go there.

Gatlinburg was very not bad, and Pigeon Forge was not as bad as I expected, either. I imagine the weather and the fact that school isn't out yet had something to do with that. We left Sevierville ahead of some nasty conditions today, and had to race the weather all the way back to Blue Ridge.

I didn't get to do Deal's Gap, the Cherohala, or 28 today, so I'll be back to hit those before we leave town this week.
