Good read...we usually make the sisters ride at least once a year. I'm gonna have to check out Albert's dance hall next time. I've heard lots of great things about Koyote Ranch but haven't stayed there yet. We usually stay in Fredericksburg or at a buddie's ranch in Harper.

Late,

Koyote Ranch is alright, a decent spot for a night or two.
Good location.
A little expensive.
Don't expect to buy beer there after midnight.

Armadillo Campground in Luckenbach isn't bad either but more primitive.
She does have cabins though and shared showers.
There's a nice spot on top of the hill for tenting, ask for directions.
Less than 1/2 mile walk to listen to "the pickers" (and beer) at Luckenbach.
The Shell station at the junction of Hwy 190 and FM 1376 has good sandwiches and jerky.

Hunter House in Ingram is a biker friendly motel, puts you on the edge of the Hill Country and the Twisted Sisters.
Makes for a real nice day ride from there.

We are usually down there every weekend as my family owns alot of land on both sides of 337. It is great riding that is for sure.

We are going to ride the 3 sisters the end of May.
I am still getting used to riding, it has been about a 20 year break.
I got my bike in Jan 2011 and I ride in Dallas and Ft Worth with no probles.
How hard is the three sisters ride?

Hwy 337 is the only one where it can be a challenge. There are a good half dozen or so curves that are at about 20mph or slower and either going up or down. I'd ride the others and then go on 337. Having said that I think 337 is the best of all three imho. I'd rather ride 337 than ride in Dallas traffic so I think you'll do fine.

Had plans for riding the Sisters several times in last couple of years, each time had to scrap/change for some reason. Still hope to get there, maybe this year.
