Got a 2008 Hertiage Classic that has developed a decellaration wobble. I just cradle the bars gently in my hands, coasting, slowing to about 40-45 and the wobble starts. Going even slower tends to make it worse. If I grip the bars firmly, I can't seem to feel the shake. Front tire had 14,500 on it but not a lot of tread wear. Took it to the dealer Saturday and had the front tire replaced. A little better but still some wobble. Mechanic said to check neck bearings and that is scheduled for this coming Saturday. Any other thoughts?
You'd probably get a lot more help if you didn't post this in the Road Trips forum and put it in the correct forum. Just sayin'.
Yep - however, your front tire likely has uneven wear or cupping. Get a new front tire. Used to be a trackday junkie back in my less productive sportbike days and a headshake decellating is almost always a bad front tire.
