NS one I have been to, even had them send me their 2011 motorcycle guide to NS book. Based on reading it a week there would not be enough to see all the sites.
Thanks for the other link I will definitely look it over.
From vancouver take highway 99, the sea to sky highway. It goes through whistler village. It hooks up to 97 as you have it on your map. It would be a more relaxing trip than fighting all the traffic on the #1.
This may have been mentioned but I didn't read all the replies. People traveling on the ALCAN seem to stop pretty early for the day. We had problems getting a room in Watson Lake. If you can either get there early or don't plan on staying there. Buy "The Milepost." It is a great reference for lodging and fuel in Canada and Alaska. We never needed our extra fuel. For riding make sure to ride Icefields Parkway between Banff and Jasper. AWESOME!!
on your southward leg, coming back down thru BC -take the Hwy 99 turoff north of Cache Creek and head down from there to Pemberton-Whistler-Vancouver via the "sea to sky" highway-you'll be grinning so hard your helmet won't fit
This.
For sure.
The Fraser Canyon is fun, too, the Coquilhalla is "ok", but either of those highways end up in Hope, and the ride from Hope to Vancouver is awful... especially after 4 pm.

Thanks I will look into/add to my route and no Vancouver after 4 got it.
Looks like a great ride. I'm curious about your route down the west coast. It looks like you're inland, perhaps on the interstate. I would think you'd want to stick to the coast highway as much as possible. No?

It's a time based decision, we have ridden CA coast many times and always enjoy it but we'll be on day 30+ by then and may be ready to haul A home. We have a lot of friends in that area so we may be recharged and refreshed and tackle the coast only time will tell.
