I had put a thread up awhile back pondering this trip and his has come to the point now that I am leaving next saturday the 28th, May.
I was hoping to get some info from locals regarding road closures along I70 into St.Louis, I44 from St.Louis into Oklahoma and then I-40 across Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
I had heard of road closures due to flooding and was hoping to avoid as many detours as possible.
Any suggestions regarding travelling thru or around the major citys along this route would be appreciated as well.
Thanx in advance!
Tolls won't be much of a problem Googl maps will tell you where they are but not how much. I would worry about I44 gong through what is left of Joplin, MO. Good luck. AZ is always hot take water. Also the locals in AZ everywhere are color blind, at least when it comes to red lights.

thanks, I was planning on packing extra water once I head west from Amarillo.
