My brother and I did the Dragon. I took 2 weeks off work, left Denver and met him in Memphis TN, and then on to NC. Stayed 2 nights at the Iron Horse Lodge. Did some riding around checking out the area and then headed out. Stayed with relatives in Washington MO, then home.
3300 miles in 11 days, with 2 of those racking up 500 miles ea.. The roads were good, weather was good except for Joplin. I passed through there just before the monster hit. I'm on an 2008 Fatbob, it did great. Very happy with it on longer rides. I think I'll be changing handle bars though.
