I have the Danner Striker. I find them extremely comfortable and the price was not too bad at Sportsman's Warehouse. I can walk in them all day and have had no negative issues with them. They're almost like wearing a tennis shoe for comfort, but have a solid road gripping sole and significant ankle support. They're also gore-tex lined, so quite waterproof.
I did not realize it at the time I bought them, but I now believe that the model I purchased is imported, not made in USA. Reviews on Danner's website indicate a significant amount of dissatisfaction, but that has not been my experience.

I've used both Harley boots and Danners The danners are more condisive to hiking but still give great support - I particularly like the officer's duty boot over the ankle protection breathable and water proof have worn them for 3 of last 4 stugis trips Now using harley's FXRG boot for simple reason it has a side zipper I need a hip replaced until I get that done ( after riding season) the zipper makes for easy on and off for me.
