VA to KC

Saturday morning the wife & I will be attempting an Iron Butt Saddle Sore 1000... Heading out from Central Virginia to Kansas City, KS. 1023 miles! Will start out about 5AM & ride until we either finish, or can't do it any more. Wish us luck!

We're taking I64 W to I 40 Pick up I70 in St Louis, & then straight into KC.

I just rechecked my route.... It's I 64 all the way to St. Louis, then I 70 to KC, KS. I dunno where the I 40 thing came from....

There is nothing here but heat and humidity.

Once you get here, set your GPS for Oklahoma Joe's. You wont be disappointed.

The WVA mountians slowed us down a bit, so we stopped just west of Charleston, got up at 0430 & hit the superslab for the next 14 hours. Didn't make the iron butt... But at least out of the mountians, the trike ran like a scalded ape as long as we could keep going.
