Is Wild Bills the newish bar next to the lot, across from "The Clam", where they have the burn-out pit?
If so, I was in there last year and they were way too concerned about the number of people inside at one time.
You didn't have room to breathe in "the clam" but this place coulda opened up a dance floor! It was crazy!
The one and only thing that truly sucks about the DelMarVa bike rally is the ride home. Traffic on Rt50 can get insane.
Last year a guy in a tractor trailer tried to make a U turn and ended up blocking both the eastbound and wastbound lanes. You wanna talk about a cluster f?ck!
Well, to everybody that's going, have a great time! I know I will! ;D
I live on 113 several miles North of the Maryland state line. I usually leave the campground around 11am and within an hour or so, I have the camper put up and am sitting on the front lawn watching the bikes and other traffic go by. Always a traffic jam.

10-4 Dan....That lot has the burn out pit and the real nice venue stage for all the bands to jam out.....Will post a few pix when we sober up for the NFL games on Sunday....HAve a good time all, D
Looking for some guys to ride down with. Possibly split a camp site or something. Dollars are tight this year. Never been down. I'm coming out of reading pa. Can meet on the way down what ever works
Wet weather?
Once every 5 years or so Delmarva Bike Week gets rained on. This year was the time. It was also accompanied by a water spout that hit the shore and was reclassified as a tornado
Lots of vendors. Lots of fun. Cold. Very cold. 88 on Wednesday when I went down. 65 on Thursday, until the wind started to blow. Then the rains came the the day temps hung around 58 with a night time low of 42.
I don't think a lot of the folks were prepared for the weather changes.
THE WATERSPOUT/Tornado on 75th street could be the reason.....Lots of cars and bikes during DBW and riders arent paying attention I quess....Had a great time. D
As far as I'm concerned this year's event sucked because of the weather. We live only 60 miles from OC and even got a free cottage to stay at in Fenwick. That didn't help much when it got cold & rained for 6+ hours on Saturday.
Felt bad for the organizers and vendors who must have lost big bucks.
The only fun thing that happened was we stayed holed up in Starbuck waiting out the rain for six hours and met five riders who came down from Baltimore for the day and hung out with us hoping for clearing weather. Sunday morning we were out of there by 8:30am, couldn't leave fast enough! Yeah, this time of year is always more risky. Maybe next year.
