Route 211 west at the Sperryville exit will take you into Luray if you're interested in seeing the caverns. If you want to grab a bite at that time, the Brookside diner is on the left after you come down off the mountain. 211 is nice for about 4 miles in either direction coming off of Skyline. A nice break if you get stuck behind some leaf-peepers doing the speed limit. Route 33 west at Harrisonburg is nice. It's civilization for may be 10-15 miles, but then you start to go up over the mountain and go into WV. You hear a lot of jokes about WV, but they have some real sweet roads. It's a great ride. You can take 33 to Seneca Rocks and then pick up Route 55 and head back east if you like, be sure to stay on old Route 55.
115 from Waynesboro to Amherst is a good road.
I'm partial to Blue Mountain Brewery, on 115, just south of US-250. All food is locally grown, and produced. And the beer is great.
I get on the drive in Front Royal and lots of nice places to eat and any road off of the drive I have found to be nice.. Leaves have changed so the views are fantastic right now.

I agree on the B.M.B........ here is a pic from last summer as I sat with the Mrs at the BMB.
HEY, I'm one of those jokes in WV I just hit RT 33 last weekend, its just as good as I remember. I read an article that the AMA members ranked that stretch of 33 13th in the USA for motorcycle riding, of course the BRP was like 3rd or something. Seneca Rocks is a postcard type scene, very nice. Skyline drive will be beautiful this time of year, enjoy !

The leaves have definitely changed, a lot of them are off the trees and on the roads and that stuff is like WD-40. Be careful. Beautiful scenery and roads all around the area.
