Natchez Trace Parkway

Did a little riding on the Trace last weekend. Beautiful ride. Got on the Trace Friday at Jackson and headed north. Camped at Tishimingo State Park, rode into AL that evening. Saturday headed back south as I had a family gathering to attend in Jackson. Spent the night with my BIL. Sunday morning headed south to Natchez and then back home. About 700 miles total. The trace is great for cruisin and just enjoying the woods on each side. Pictures are from Windsor Ruins, Big Bend on the Pearl River and French Camp.

Did the whole trace last June. What a great ride. Very little traffic, plenty of shade North of Jackson. Will go again in 2012. Loveless Restaurant, great food.

I lived in Tupelo for awhile just 1 mile from an entrance and about 200 miles each direction. Rode it all the time and just loved it. It's a really great ride. Keep an eye out for critters, especially deer they can ruin you day.
