have a good ride. It will take you forever if you try to follow the actual route. It winds off main roads a lot and some of it is gone totally, but still a fun ride.

I have a Contour HD GPS, and I love it. the whole route 66 will be recorded with this camera.

Been watching the Weather Channel as departure time nears. After reading about the devastation caused by the tornado that came through Joplin it certainly has my attention. Keep an ear to that weather band!

I will be checking in to this site from the road and will pass along anything of interest that may assist you on your solo run.

You have a safe trip as well!
