I would go somewhere I've never been but always wanted to.

I'm 62 years old, had two major heart attacks, blew a heart valve and got a pig valve replacement, got a state of the art pacemaker and defibulator, so any time that I roll my scooter could possibly be my last ride.
If I knew in advance that I had one road trip left, I would saddle up, and roll solo from Indiana to the tip of Key West Fl., sit along side the big buoy at the end of the road, roll a final fat one, drink a cold Bush Light and watch the sun go down .

I think I would go somewhere new that I've always wanted to go to. There are times when you return to a memorable place and it wasn't the same. Wouldn't want to risk a disappointing last trip. I really hope the docs are wrong and it's not your last trip.

if i was well enough to have sex, i would go to nevada and make the rounds of all the legal whorehouses. maybe make up a tour pin to celebrate the ride.

How long do you have to dedicate to this last ride? I'm like the others, I think I would do the ride I've always wanted to do, but haven't yet been able to get done. For me, if health would allow it, that would be pretty long ride, basically around the country -- four corners kind of thing.

If I only could devote a week or so, I would want to ride through New England in the fall. I've had some fantastic rides in only a few years of riding, so I consider myself very blessed. I wouldn't complain if all I got to do was repeat one of those rides. Honestly, if I had one last ride, I'd be grateful for it no matter where it was. Best wishes to you.

Weaver...

Sorry to hear this is the last one....

I guess I would go to some place I have already been and liked a lot. BUT, I would pick a new route so I still get a new overall experience.

Kind of like someone else mentioned, however, I'd ride from the southeast out to Big Sur. There is a nice little 60's bar (Nepenthe I think its called) overlooking the Pacific. I'd want to watch THAT sunset again.

Best wishes....

In reality, we are all on our last trip. We just come back home to make extended pit stops for money, family etc.

If I could plan the next leg of my trip and once I stopped that would be it, I would roll through every state in the lower 48, head to Canada and Alaska, then ride south to the very tip of South America.

+1 on going somewhere you've been that you loved but picking a new route. The nice thing about going somewhere you've been, you know the best spots and don't run yourself ragged trying to see 'everything'
