I tried to scan it all and put it here but the size limitations kicked my rear. I'll bet you could order these pamphlets. If you're ever northbound on I-15 from Utah to idaho, just after you cross the border there is a rest area where they are free, plus a bunch more about the west.

That is making me homesick. I did most of my growing up in Soda Springs. Just went back last summer with my old man for a visit. Miss that country bad. Hoping to return in a couple years. Probably to the Mountain Home or Boise area.

I have a place a few miles downriver from Lava. One of our standby rides is Lava to Grace, Preston, Weston canyon, Downey and home. With my boat at Devil Creek, I stop and fish some times on the bike ride. Makes for a fine day.

Must be nice. It had been 22 years since I had been to Soda. It had not changed too much. Lava on the other hand...seemed to have dried up some. Not as many tourist-type places anymore. Probably a good thing in some ways though.

We camped for a couple weeks on Topance Creek (on the east side of Pebble) and stayed in Soda for about a week. It was a great trip. We drove out from Illinois (where dad lives today) and made a great trip out of it in my truck.
