Wondering if anyone is heading out to the Rolling Thunder from Mid West or has made the trip in the past. Going to get back from overseas just in time to go. Looking for a good route to take.
Can't help you with the route, but it would be worth the trip if you have never been. We have been a few times. We always go to Patroit HD. They block the street off in front of the dealership. Have police escort to DC. All traffic on Interstate 66 East bound is stopped. Only 2 lines of bikes from Fairfax to DC.
If you are heading down from the land of all those lakes you can hook up with the run for the wall and do part of the ride with that group by catching them down in Missouri or Illinois. Rolling Thunder is the day after the rftw arrives in DC. Welcome Home and hope your ride out is Great!
Thanks! looks like we will be leaving MN heading south then into Ohio then across. From some of the other posts it sounds like Fredrics is the place to stay.
