Last year it didn't hit 20 degrees Celsius the entire time I was out there. The year before, it was high 20's in the Atlantic provinces, and low 30's (ugh) going through Quebec and Ontario. In 2004 it was quite temperate - low to mid 20's all-around. I still wouldn't go without my long underwear & rain gear.

This was one heck of a post. Thanks for the detailed information. It will be helpful for me as I plan a trip to NS this summer. Initially, I planned on the HD Posse ride, yet, it will take too long and don't have enough vacation time from work. The Cabot looks like a good trip for 12-14 days. BTW, how much was the ferry from Portland with the bike????

If you go to Bar Harber look on the net for b&b's it will make the ladys happy...check out the Thirsty Whale and Miguals,both are where the local hang out.Lompac cafe younger croud also is a micro brewer.If you can get up early and ride up Cadilac mountain you can see the sun rise before anyone elas in the usa

been to NS three times in last 30 years, never took the leathers off, pack your long underwear, even in August

My friend and I are looking to spend a few days riding around NS starting June 21. We'll be coming from Massachusetts.

I have a couple of questions:

1. At that time of year, would you recommend reservations for hotels / motels?

2. If you could only do or see two things on Nova Scotia, what would it be?
