1/2 way on BRP at mp 248 is stations inn m/c resort -- might wanna take 2 days and this would be 1/2 way and is right off the parkway--very nice!!!

 

I've been told that the Station Inn MC Resort will not open for the 2012 season. Can anyone confirm this?

 

Went to the website and the last time it was updated was in 2010. it said he wanted to retire and was looking for a buyer.

 

It is closed and is not open. But there is Freebornes right next to it at the same milepost 248 Hwy 18. It has a restaurant and motel as well. http://www.freebornes.com/

Trip planned and reservations made. With six bikes in the group from around the south, we're meeting in Knoxville. We'll make a hard run from Knoxville to Front Royal in one day, then spend the next 4 days leisurely riding the parkways to Cherokee, then over the mountains to Gatlinburg.

I've taken a lot of notes from the advice for places to stop and see.
