Laconia 2012 Assesment
I went up over the weekend (700 mile ride each way)....
Weather was perfect Saturday and Sunday. Did not plan this ahead so had to ride back to Virginia Monday morning. Do plan on coming back, maybe for a week in the next couple of years. Ride up Friday was surprisingly smooth, traffic wise.
That place is a LOT of fun. Shoot, you can even ride that booze train to Meredith where a bunch of the events are. Get even drunker and ride the train back. You can take a ride on that big boat on the lake too ... so other than all the good rides and parties, there are plenty of other things to do.
Yeah, you can't walk around naked and don't try taking a leak in a public place ... those things will get you locked up for the night.
But overall, there is probably more to do up there than at most rallies.
Not sure why I avoided it when I lived in Mass, think I would have had some good memories ... oh well.
They say it rains a lot up there but I didn't see any. I guess today Wednesday and yesterday were shitty days, but there is still 4 more days to go.
I say two thumbs up to this one!
