Shenyang China Charity Riding-Russian-like Manchuria
Manchuria, meaning "exuberant fountain" in Mongolian . It gor its name after Dongqing railway set up here is 1901. Manchuria is a port city with a 100 years' history. It has a good reputation as the " window of Asia" for it's located in a strategic place of Eurasia Land Bridge. In 1907, Manchuria officially opened its commercial port. After a hundred year's severe test, it's the largest land boarder crossing in China and it is bearing 60% of Sino- Russia overland freight.
On 24th, our team arrived at Manchuria. We defined it as a Russian-like city: ogival and tower-type buildings, Russian Nesting Doll Square, Old Locomotive Square,,, All these are full of Russian style. The imprint of old industry and beautiful human and natural landscape, making us slow our steps. We stayed here for 3 days, looked into this city closely.

Manchuria National Gate scenic spot
5th generation National Gate:built in 2008. It's located 8km from the Manchuria city , connection point near the China side, still on the opposite of the original Russian National Gate. The gate is shaped like "gate" in Chinese Character, solemn and magnificent. The total area is 200,000m2. It's the national 4A grade scenic spot.

1st generation National Gate:built in 1990.The Russians constructed Dongqing railways from Siberia to Harbin, Suifen River of China. On both sides of the roadbed of this boarder railway, Russia put up 2 wood sticks, one written" Byger Province junction railway " and the other nailed a 2-headed iron bird.( Russian national elblem). It was seen as the original mutual national gate of Russia and China.
2nd generation National Gate: built in 1920. It was located in the opposite of Zabaikalsk station, within the Russian Boarder station. The gate was 300m from the current boarder line. It was made of wood and shaped in an arch. On the China-faced side it was written "Sino-Russia Gate" in Chinese characters. The gate was pulled down because it's damaged by the weather.
3rd generation National Gate:It was co-built in 1968 during Chinese Great Culture Revolution period. It was mainly used for checking passing vehicles. It's more like a iron trestle stretching over the railway. On both sides of the trestle, there is a iron ladder. Standing on this trestle, you can overlook the passing vehicles crossing the boarder line. It was written" Workers of all lands unit" in red.
4th generation National Gate:built in 1988, co-built by Manchuria City Construction Bureau and Frontier Inspection Station. It was built by steel-gray granite plate. It's 12.8m high and 24.5m wide. The gate is solemn and magnificent. It's on the opposite of the National Gate of Russian, stridling over broad-gauge and standard-gauge. The width of us 2 countries are different. In China, it's standard-gauge and in Russia it's broad-gauge. The difference is 8.5 cm. The trains must have to change the train wheels before they get into the other country.
No. 41 Boundary Monument
This is the 41th boundary monument set up on Sino-Russia boarder line at the end of the 2 countries' boundary settlement in Aug. 1994. Before 1993, this location is a mixing passage for passengers and goods. Along with the development of the 2 countries' trade, there is the No.41 boundary monument between Manchuria National Gate and Russia National Gate and it faces China. The monument is 1.2m high, 0.4m wide and 0.25m thick. The material is granite, solemn, magnificent and sacred. Every tourist will take a picture with the monument to save as a precious memory.
Russian Nesting Dolls Square
This is the only Russian nesting dolls theme (Russian traditional craft)square, blending China, Russia and Mongolia's flavor and eastern and western culture together perfectly. It is a signature Manchuria scenic spot compromising tourism, entertainment and interestingness,
The square is 60,000m2. The main manufacture is a giant nesting doll as high as 30m. The building area is 3200m2. It is the biggest nesting doll in the world. Inside this giant doll is a Russian-style restaurant and a Arts hall. The external painting is consist of 3 beautiful girls representing China, Russia and Mongolia.Around this main doll, there are 8 functional dolls, 200 little dolls representing other 200 countries and regions in the world and 30 colorful Russian Easter-eggs. Around the music fountain of the square, there are 12 Chinese Zodiac and 12 western Astrological signs. At night, the square is flowing light and color, like a fairytale.
Hulun Lake
It is the 5th largest inland lake in China. It's also called Dalai Lake. The total area is 2339 km2. One of the lake's supply source is the rainfall, and the other are Kerulen river, Urson river and Dalanerome river."Hulun" is sound shifted from mongolian word" Haliu", meaning bank beaver, Its get this name because there are a lot of beavers. It was commonly called"dalai". In mongolian, it means "sea", meaning Dalai lake is the same aas sea.
There are 8 famous scenic spots of Halun lake: Sunrise over the lake, Mirage over the lake, stone pile horse, lake wave, tiger mountain, elephant mountain and the moon, birds in reed marshes, harp in Oahu island. Sunrise and mirage should depend on the weather.
Every city exists with water. The water in Manchuria is very clean.
