Been to sturgis 15 years in a row. this year want to do things i havent done before. been to broken spoke, american roadhouse, keystone, one eyed jacks, glencoe, hulett, etc
this year we want to try some new stuff. never been to the "chip", or broken spoke campground. People tell me the places you like to go. looking for live bands, fun crowds and if a lady wants to show some love, more power too her.
where do you guys like to go?? thanks
I want to try and hit the small saloons. Something like the Stone House Saloon and other odd saloons. I have notice some of them are unique. I have found one in Wyoming that has been around over 100 years!

Been to Stone House Saloon.......it's small and out in the middle of nowhere but it's worth dropping by and maybe sign one of the walls.
I got some good advice on Saloons from the guys in the forum. Stone House is definetly one of my stops. Stoneville, Ponderosa saloon, and Dime Horseshoe Bar is also out in that area. I am so looking forward to this trip!
Did not have a particular day. I am arriving the morning on the fifth from Yellowstone. Will be there until the 12th or later. If you want to ride out just let me know! I am staying about a 1/2 mile from downtown Sturgis. By the way I will be putting your windshield to a good test on this trip!
Im going to Sturgis for the first time. I will only be out there for 3 days not counting the day to get there and the day to get back. What is the best way to use my 3 days there. I have never been there before so what are some places i must go to when there? Also are there any awesome roads to ride out there? I want to take one day to just ride to Mt. Rushmore and ride around the black hills.
It is about a 700 mile trip from Wisconsin. How far is everyone driving to get there? The longest i ever rode in one day is 430 miles so trying to do all 700 in one day will be interesting!

Pretty much any road in the Black Hills will be some of the most beautiful riding you've ever done. In no particular order: Needle's Highway, Iron Mountain Road, Spearfish Canyon, Custer State Park. Make sure to eat at the Alpine Inn in Hill City and have a beer at the Crow Peak Brewery in Spearfish.
A word of caution: the roads out in the Hills are deceptive and can be much more difficult/unforgiving than they look. There's never a year that goes by that we don't have several fatalities due to a single rider failing to negotiate a curve.
