Custer SP Hailstorm

Went for a ride up Iron Mt Rd into Custer SP today almost made it to Blue Bell Lodge when the skies opened up and let loose with pouring rain and pea sized hail. Knew I shouldn't have washed the bike yesterday at the HD bike wash. Made it over 3000 miles without having to put my raingear on since I left last Monday afternoon. I'm not gonna wash it again till I get home Saturday nite.

Bummer, IMR is not a fun road in the rain let alone with hail pounding on you.

Our group all washed our bikes at the HD wash Friday morning and all hell broke loose later that afternoon. I heard Hill City had 2 inches of hail and Deadwood had it an inch deep. We were right by the full Throttle when SHTF and we were lucky enough to duck into the gas station and hide under the covering.

I was in Deadwood at a coffee house when it broke loose and it was a lot bigger than pea size up there. Cracked the vinyl on my seat, but no other damage.
