Las Vegas Bike week.

Heads up for anyone coming to Las Vegas Bike week. Was out for a ride Sun and met a fellow rider over in Belmont AZ while fueling. In talking with him he while he was visiting Las Vegas and stayed at one of the larger hotels on the strip ( not in downtown) he said he vallet parked his bike and was victem of saddle bag theft. He also mentioned there was a couple others at another hotel. I kinda believed him as he was missing two bags, had new raingear straped to his seat with another bag. Said he was form Canada and at this point had no idea we were from Vegas. This is the first I've herd of this in Vegas and hope they ( metro ) catch the jerks. Hope you come here for biketoberfest its awsome just becarful what you leave in your bike. The cops will be very active here lookin for the DUI thing also.

My ole lady and I go every year, cept last. We usually stay around Fremont...now that most stuff is centered there, the DUI thing will be easy to avoid, on foot isn't quite as "dangerous" lol. That sux about the theft. The place we usually stay, which is now called "The D", has outside valet parking, and there is a guy usually keeping watch, so hopefully that deters most scum bags!

I mentioned this to the wife, she's all over it. She loves Vegas. We are 20hrs from Vegas. It would take me more than a day to get there. lol.

hmmm. Fly the wife down. Leave Wednesday night after work arrive late thursday. I could get another Iron Butt ride in before the snow flies!

Ok, I am seriously considering this now.
