Fall road trip
I am leaving Monday Oct 1 for a little get together with some riding buddies in Antlers, OK. The first day will take me to Alamogordo, NM. The second day to Abilene, TX and the third day through the DFW area to Antlers.
The route back will be Antlers to Amarillo, Amarillo to Socorro NM, then Socorro back to the Phoenix area. Just under 2400 miles round trip.
I'll post some photos when I return.

If you leave Antlers and go north on Indian Nations Turnpike, have a full tank of gas and small bills and quarters handy as it is a toll road. From Amarillo to Socorro, I like to turn at Santa Rosa(I think) take 54 to Vaughn and then US 60 over to the interstate just north of Socorro. This stretch has limited gas, but you can have a long stretch of road to yourself. South eastern Oklahoma has some pretty country, but Arizona seems to have it all.
