My wife and I are takin off for Aruba next week (our anniversary) and I've already looked up the local HD dealer for a rental. So that's takin care of, now has anyone been there and can clue me in on whats up. American on a Harley am I a target or will I/we be well received by the locals. We're not real big on turist joints. We like to experience the local culture and get a feel for the true life of it's citizens. Any help?

Take the guided tour by the Harley shop, they will take you to a lot of places you won't find on your own. The island is only 20 miles long, the tour will make it seem like 50.....and don't use the front brake, it's a desert island, very little rain, and the roundabouts get really greasy.

I'd post some pictures, but the files are too large.

Been there once as a cruise ship destination. We went horseback riding. Aruba is a nice clean island when compared to the Caribbean islands. Lots of Europeans visiting. We went to a Harley dealership just to look. Very small one room building, but we may have not been in the same town you are going to. Have fun.
