If you are looking for the 'Key West Experience' by all means take some of the suggestions here ... but if you are looking for a less frantic/crowded 'Keys' experience you might try the White Gate Court in Islamorada. Really nice place and plenty to see/do around Islamorada ....

I have a bud.......... that was down there two years ago with his wife. She unknowingly booked a bed a breakfast that wound up being..............drum roll please...........
A clothing optional Lesbian bed and breakfast. Since they were all lesbians, his wife didn't mind him and her hanging in the hot tub with all the naked ladies. Hmmmmmmmmm

I suggest the Conch House Heritage Inn; http://www.conchhouse.com. We have been there with friends three times, twice by motorcycle. It is on Truman Avenue, 2 blocks off of Duval street. It is a quiet place with lots of charecter. They serve a continental breakfast which you can enjoy while sitting next to the pool. I can't tell you how much it costs because my wife always makes the arrangements. She is not a spendthrift but she really likes this place.

we stayied att the Travel Lodge and Suites when we went down on the bikes. Not a bad place but not in Old Town either. Price was right and all suites so you get a kjitchen, two bedrooms and laudry in the room, bug plus. I would sleep on the street in Key West just for the chance to go back!! Have a great time no matter where you stay and post some pictures!!!
