Well, just signed a release of liability so I now have the official go-ahead to take my bike. I'm stoked! Based on the advice here, I'm thinking I'll leave a little bit early just in case, and take the 99 on the way up. PCH on the way down, definitely.
On a side note, I just ordered saddlebags, so they should be on my bike by the time I make the trip. Would it be worthwhile to get some highway pegs, too?
