Thank you SO much for sharing your experience...As I read your account of your trip, it made me smile, not because of what waw happening but because me and my luck - gosh, it sounds like something that would happen to me on my first ride there. The way your wrote - made me feel as if I had been on that ride - coupled with the photos -once again, thank you so much. I know that 5 or 10years down the road - these memories will be cherished!

Holy Cow!! Well, 3,736 miles later on my bike (with no break downs) through the heat, rain, cold, rain, mountains,
rain, valleys, and, oh yeah, rain:
We had some minor issues, lost riders, riding through a hail and lightning storm, lost foot pegs, rear light bar,
gloves, about a dozen bandanas, etc. but no one suffered serious physical damage and it was a blast!!!!

He/We'd do it again. We're taking next year off from going. We're putting our house on the market soon and taking on a new adventure. We're going to leave RI and build a log home in NH. So, not knowing what stage of the game we'll be at, we're not making plans for Sturgis next year. We are planning on going back the following year.
