Article in yesterdays paper. EPA and the Ferry company have agreed to a 2 year plan. It states that the SS Badger will work towards carrying it's coal ash onboard instead of dumping in the lake. To be completed in two years time.
It needs a final approval from a Federal Judge, which sounds like it will fly through.
So good news, it looks like the Ferry will run this year from Manitowoc to Ludington.
My in-laws live in Ludington. I took the ferry when the Midland was running. It is a barge now.
