I have some three friends that are going to be in Biggs in a couple of weeks. What are some nice day rides out of this area. I did see something on here about rides on Rattlesnake Ridge, but I can't find anything on local rides in this area.
Biggs is where US97 crosses the Columbia River. US97 is good in either direction (north and south). WA 14 follows the Columbia east and west (two lane road on the WA side) and I 84 on the Oregon side. Rattlesnake Ridge is many hours east, nearly in Idaho.
Great riding out of Biggs
North to Goldendale, west on hwy 142 for Klickitat, or go towards Glenwood, and either go on into Trout Lake, or drop south on the old BZ-Glenwood hwy, to hwy 141 and into White Salmon and 14 back to Biggs AWSOME RIDE.
Or for Oregon south on hwy 97 to Shaniko, hwy 218 to Antelope, to Fossil and beyond, maybe Spray, Kimberley, Mitchel...WOW
Or circle back from Fossil to Condone on hwy 19, hwy 206 back to Wasco and hwy 97 and Biggs....
Then of course theres always the mountains,,, Hood, Adams,St. Helens, Rainier....It's endless if ya got the time............Happy Trails and its gonna be different than Texas
