Coastal California is one of my favorite rides. In 2011 I stayed in Creasent City at the Curly Redwood lodge-nice place, low rates. From there you can cruise through the redwoods down to Eureka & stop at the Lost Coast brewery & pub. I camped for 3 days in Elk Prairie campground in Redwoods N.P. You'll be amazed by the beauty of this place if you do a little hiking.

Yes they do have showers & if you want to camp there I recommend you make a reservation. Go to "reserveamerica" website to make a reservation.
