So I'm heading out on Saturday from NJ to Orlando FL for a conference. This will be my first long trip on my 2012 ultra, I, pretty excited.
I have 2-3 days to get there, and m looking for the fastest route to avoid any stop and go traffic, and ideas to avoid Baltimore and DC, I know there are belt ways but I've thout they still get pretty backed up.
Also, what tools do you guys carry on a trip like that?
I take the basic tools with me.... but most important is to have your cell phone and credit card, as when you are on the road without parts and a garage it is pretty hard to perform repairs.
Probably THE MOST important tool to take along is a five gallon bucket of common sense. Sometimes the hardest thing to find. Don't just blast your way thru just because you can but enjoy the trip. Fastest way is usually the most direct, including the interstates. Even if they sometimes get jammed up, you can usually plan your timing so as not to arrive at a possibly congested spot due to rush hour traffic. Remember, you are only one wrong turn away from your next greatest adventure.
