If you stay in Salt Lake city you can go to Antelope island state park and go down to the water and go in. That was to only reason we went was because my wife had to go in and see if you really do float in the water there. And it's suppose to have healing powers, all I saw was lots of sand bugs everywhere! It was pretty nasty going in. The Harley dealer there is a pretty cool old mill building.
But going there and seeing the salt flats (For me) was worth the trip.

Sounds like a great trip. Glacier is beautiful, but very different from what you will find in Utah. Zion is my favorite.

I agree After Going to The Sun Rd, Rte 12 over Lolo Pass was a great ride. Your in a canyon along side the Lochsa River for at least 80 miles! A few mile's into the ride you will come across a giant yellow sign it say's CAUTION 77 MILES OF CURVES, still have a picture of me and my 99 Roadking under that sign on the frig! Stayed in White fish Mt. when I was in the area. Don't miss the lodge near the South end of the Park incredible lobby!
GNP is amongst the best rides in the U.S. and I've been on many of those roads. We've been there 4 times and it's always an exciting event for us, especially when we take friends with us.
I'm planning on doing at least one more ride to the N.W. before I get too old.
I toured through a lot of WA, OR, and ID when I came home from Alaska and there's a lot of beautiful country to see up/out there and if y'all get the chance y'all won't forget the trip.
Plans so far: Sturgis to Little Big Horn, to Billings, Forsyth-Roundup-Harlowton-White Sulphur Spgs.-Great Falls - Lewis And Clark Interpretive Center, to St Mary KOA.
Thinking ride GTTSR back to St Mary on Hwy 2. Thinking of doing this ride in both directions over two days. Other good riding in the area?
Leaving St Mary down the east side of Flathead Lake, to Lolo, west on 12 across the mountains and then back to Lolo, South on 93 to 75, 75 to 20, then Craters of the Moon.
Then headed south. Still not sure how to tackle the National Parks in Utah. I would like to hit them north to south, then Grand Canyon since I am close, then possibly back across to Monument Valley and Moki Dugway.
Then the ride home.
Any suggestions still appreciated. Any campgrounds suggestions near Billings, Great Falls, Lolo, Craters of the Moon???????? Thanks.
