Default Spring break

The wife and me are looking for a place to go on spring break that will be warm but not be loaded down with spring breakers. We have looked at Key West but found no affordable flights, we don't have a lot of time only about 4 maybe 5 days. We can be in New Orleans easily in 1 day from here in S. IL. Just wondered if any one might have a good place to go that we have not thought of, we have been to Daytona many times. We are looking for someplace different to go. The Panama Beach area will be crowded I am sure with kids, we are just not in to that anymore. Thanks for any ideas.

What about the San Antonio area? I'm not for sure when your spring break is, but we went down on our spring break last year and it wasn't too crowded and it hit 90 degrees a couple of days while we were there. As far as riding goes, there are lots of good rides around there. The 3 Sisters are close and you could even take a side trip down to the Big Bend area. I think we did it in 4 or 5 days last year. Pm me if you want any more specific info on what all we did. We also did the New Orleans deal last year. There was obviously lots to do in the area, but the riding is not all that. The roads area really rough. I wouldn't go back to New Orleans again for riding purposes, but I would do the San Antonio area again.

We rode from Southern Illinois to Southern Lake Michigan ( Michigan side) in one day, then just cruised around the area. Some nice small towns around and we went to Battle Creek and spent time at The Fire Seekers Casino. Spent time on some of the beaches around St. Joseph and the Indiana Dunes. Of course, the wife has family there so we spent 2 days with them, but still had a good time. Sophia's Pancake House in Benton Harbour had a fantastic breakfast. It's right on I-94.
