Default Salvation Mountain Road Trip

Hey guys, I just recently took a ride out to Salvation Mountain in Southern California. It was hotter than blazes, but it was pretty cool to ride across the desert. You can read about it on Medium if you'd like. Hope you enjoy. https://medium.com/two-wheels/b4dfc03dcd67

I have been there too. I am not a religious person, but we had to go (and take a trip through Slab City) mind you we were not on the bike at that time and it was Nov. Anyway we did get to talk with Leonard and had him give us a free guided tour in and around the Mountain. He is a pretty interesting guy and at that time he lived in the back of his old pickup, with food and water donations all around his. He even gave us a DVD made by some national documentary company for free (mind you we gave him a generous tip for his time)
All of Salvation Mountain was made out of waste and donated paint.

Ultracan that's cool that you got to meet Leonard Knight. The truck that he lived in is still there. He must have been a tough dude to live out there year round.
