I have the Rush mufflers for 2010 Dyna Wide Glide. The mufflers were in use for approx 1 year.
I've just removed the 2'' baffles and I am trying to install the new 1,5'' baffles I've bought.
The problem is that the rust inside the mufflers makes it very difficult for the baffles to fit in and almost impossible to move them. Shall I use some grease or similar?
Any help appreciated....
wd40 and pb blaster are great suggestions. A wire brush can also help clean up any remaining residue on the inside. The tolerances are tight to prevent the baffle rattling around inside the muffler shell. If spraying the inside with penetrating oil and a quick wire brushing doesn't solve the issue, please let me know or call our tech support.
