Sorry if this has been answered. I had Rush slip-ons installed on my 2007 Softail and always got comments on how good they sounded so naturally I'm looking at Rush for my new 2014 Street Glide.
I'm not intending any mods to this bike and will remain stock for the foreseeable future. Factory header with cat installed etc. I'm interested in the 4" Big Louies and would like a baffle recommendation. I definitely want louder than stock but also want to maintain low end torque. Thanks.

Use the 2.50" baffle in the Big Louie. The catalytic converter in the head pipe will maintain back pressure and low end torque. No tuning is required if intake and engine are stock. You will not experience any performance improvements but it will sound like a Harley. Thanks for considering Rush on your new ride!

Why not 3""? What will 3" do to performance? I just talked to someone at Rush and they recommend 3" for a 12' UL.

The 3" will also work. It's louder and performance will be the same as the 2.5". This info is good for all touring bikes with a catalytic converter in the head pipe, 2010-2014. There is a link to the sound clip for the 3.00" in my signature.

When using true dual head pipes or any other aftermarket head pipes most people prefer the 2.00" baffle size and we recommend that for most riders. 2.25" if you're looking for more volume.

Thx Ryan. I was not going to use an after market header. My plan is to use the stock header but have the catalytic converter removed. Can I still use Big Louie's with the 3" baffle, or should I do the 2.00 or 2.25? I ask because your post with the sound clip says that the 3" baffle is only for the stock header (including the catalytic converter).

Ryan I forgot to mention the bike is 2014 CVO Road King
We recommend using the 3.00" only with stock head pipes with a catalytic converter. With open head pipes such as the 2009 head pipes we recommend the 2.00" or 2.25". CVO's are louder than other bikes so the 2.00" might work better for your ears.
