Default Torque Cones?

So I am considering replacing my S-238 (baffled cholos) with S-239 (cholo straights). I am running a SERT and have my bike custom mapped for best performance.

Does Samson recommend any specific torque cone or other means to retain a little back pressure when running straights with a true dual setup?

baffles make a big difference in tuning when you want to change to a straight pipe. Samson coined the phrase torque cones so please do not get them mixed up with a reducer that people are using out there that sell for 20 bucks. the torque cones actually enhance torque by as much as 5 ft lbs or more depending on other performance enhancement items you have. i feel you should use torque cones which create velocity in the pipe which enhances torque. a new map may be needed as well but use the torque cones first.
thank you,
JR

JR,
Cool. Thanks for the info. Is there a Samson Part number for your t cones? and what is the price? I am running the SE intake, a SERT, and the baffled cholos and I am sure I will need a new map changing to straights with torque cones. I am also willing to loose a few numbers on the Dyno as this is no longer my primary bike.

Thanks again

Jo

Please give us a call and we would be glad to help you. 888-5-SAMSON. or you can go online at www.samsonusa.com and the part number is A-242. one thing i want to mention about our torque cones is they were developed using a scientific method of squeezing air together equally and allowing it to exit equally at a high rate of speed. the design is actual old rocket science for best propulsion and thrust. all cnc machined from pure stainless steel.
thank you,
JR
