close gordy. think they will drop it down to a 118 for cvo's. but with stock bikes now at 103 you would think they would have bumped them up by now. when stock production went from 88 to 96 the cvo went from 103 to 110.
not speculating the R motor on cvos. to radical to pass epa emissions. just wondering when they will bump up the cu offered on cvos. predict when they do it will be a 118. i look at the 120R as a pre-production test motor so they don't have the same problems had with the intro of the 110.
They now offer a 120ST that is EPA legal for street use. It puts 106 hp at the rear wheel. It is $5,695 and needs the additional purchase of a 58 mm intake manifold. Then a tune from HD on the existing ECM. Problem it only bolts to 2015 Touring frames. It carries the full two year HD warranty unlike the no warranty 120R which was only legal for off road use.
It is on their web site to purchase now.
The issue with the 110's was solved long ago as a rear cylinder head gasket problem. I have an 11 and a 12 CVO Road Glides. 22K on the 11 and 7K on the 12 without so much as a hickup.
It is only speculation but it could appear on the 2016 CVO's. I have my check book ready.

I AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS !!!
The 120ST is being BETA tested at the expense of diehard MoCo Harley "must haves" customers.
I think the MoCo is also watching how many folks are buying S&S Big Inch motors and want to try and get some of them back on to a bigger HD brand motor.
But until they build a better bottom end on these motors, I think that when I NEED to replace my motor, I will still go with S&S 124". Hell maybe even the new 143" motor.
Then again, I'm not even close to needing it yet, WANTING IT is another story!!!
There still not a wet head option for the 120ST or R for that matter. In fact there are no performance heads (offered by HD) for the wet heads yet. Zippers is modding them. FM also I think.
