Default Cam change

Well I ordered the Zippers redshift cam for my 04 SE EGlide that I read about here but I am getting conflicting opinions as to installation. The motor has under 500 miles. Will I need new cam bearings or can I use the current ones? Does the tank and boxes really have to come off with the EZ install pushrods? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure about the bearing issue but the whole point of the e-z pushrods is that you just cut your old stockers out with bolt cutters so you dont have to take the tank and box covers off.

That's what I thought but the mechanic at the stealer said otherwise....and he's a friend of mine. That was the reason for my confusion.

Yes, you need different cam bearings. The stockers are junk. Use only Torrington full complement bearings. Any decent mechanic knows this.
