My sick CVO
I have owned this 2007 FXSTSSE for about 5 years, I am the 3rd owner. It came with the VH pipes, first thing I did was to remove the baffles after about 6 months. This thing was a beast, it would bounce the ft tire in second, I ride it about the way you would ride a speed bike, always ran fine till about the last of last summer.
Now to the problem,
When it cranks, sounds like it cranks on one cylinder, then picks up the other one and runs fine if you ride like a old man. the other ting is if your about 1/4 to 1/2 wide open and slam the throttle wide open, it goes back to running on one cylinder. It will run wide open if you bring it up to power at a slower rate, and that is no fum.
Carried it to my HD shop to get it fixed, here is what they did and said.
Said I had low fuel pressure, they replaced all fuel lines and check valve, and fuel filter, fuel pressure good now, but that didn't fix it. Said I needed a tuner, I ask why I needed that because it ran fine for about 3 years after i removed the baffles. OK I said put one on there, they also changed plugs and put exhaust cones in it. O yea, FYI, bike has 32000 miles on it.
They called, said it was ready, went to pick it up Saturday. As soon as it cranked, I knew it was not right. I let the HD guy talk me into everything was fine, when I took it around the parking lot, I knew it was not right, but HD said to ride it and the computer would learn. OK $946.00 later, I left with it. Road it about 16 mile, turned around and brought it back. It was no better than when I carried it to them. I think it is a injector problem, but they say no codes saying that. There is no trouble codes at all they tell me.
I'm not sure if the problem is the fire or fuel. Does anybody have any idea what the problem might be, because I don't think HD does.
Thanks Eddie

also take a sample of the fuel in the tank and look for water ...(if you've been running ethanol fuel)
