Angry 2016 CVO ultra touch screen delaminating

I bought a 2017 CVO ultra limited and the touch screen is delaminating in places that you wouldn't even touch, I rarely ever use touch screen to operate it. (Clearly a manufacturing defect), Took it in to HD Modesto CA and they said the company will not cover it, and that it is a wearable part and is not covered, they want 250 to replace it. Has anybody had this problem? The tech at service dept says he's never seen it.

Try another dealer. Call HD corporate customer service. Had 44K on my 15 with no issue with the touch screen. Have 10K on the 17 and no issues.

I've had a few issues but not that one. I believe that cover is just like the one for a cell phone. It's removable and there is a solution to clear the residue with no screen damage and replace with a new sheet. They even offer if for normal wear repair. Of course HD is going to charge $$ on anything, but should still be a warranty item.

I agree with Dave, go to another HD Dealer or as many as you need to until one agrees to replace it. My HD Dealer worked to replace my tachometer on my CVO BO, even after the warranty expired. They took some photo's and sent them up the proverbial food chain. They got approved and replaced it, all I had to pay was about $30.00 in labor. The part was not warrantied and was worth over $500.00, but they did it anyway. I'm in there all the time talking to the service guys and parts guys and have my Harley's serviced there and buy a ton of P&A there, so they look after me. Find a dealer that will help you out, then stick with them, JMHO.
