My 2014 CVO 110 scissored the crank on a road trip at almost 50,000 miles.

Default 110 cvo motor.

Have a 2011 cvo screaming eagle Fatboy with 35,000 on it. We had to get new motor after we first got it. Now with 10,000 miles on the new motor in 4 years. The motor had to be fixed again. Is this a common problem. Is a 103 motor a better motor

My builder took my 2016 CVO Street Glide to a 113.9 at 18,000 miles S & S internal components, Zipper Cams, 138 torque / 136 hp ... now 75000 miles and no problems ever...so far, runs better than my Harley CVO Road Glide with 131 ...

Reading through this post, it reminds me a lot of being on the Ram Forum, and reading about the Ram's with the 5.7 Hemi and the cam and lifter problems. Some of the 5.7 Hemi's have issues, most don't. I have a 2009 Ram 5.7 Hemi with 163K miles on it, and the engine runs strong and quiet (so far). Sounds like springs/lifters are a problem on some of these 110's. I bought my CVO Road King last September from the original owner with 40K miles on it. Previous owner did the 3 hole service every 3K miles since new. I have only put 500 miles on it so far, and it runs great! I did the 3 hole service and put a new battery in it this Spring. Hoping for the best, and that I got a good one.
