Default Factory 47 bars - What's the difference between CVO RG and non-CVO RG?

Finally joined the ranks, signed the paperwork for my 18 CVO RG in lava orange/dark alloy yesterday. Having stage 3 installed so won't be picking it up for awhile, plus in upstate NY so staring out the window at snow and ice until Mar/Apr.

I was debating going with Yaffe or Factory 47 bars and decided to go with 14" Factory 47. On their website it says bars for the RG special won't fit the CVOs, what's different about their bars?

I have a 16 RGS and installed wild one 14" Reaperz on it so I know about the pin at the base of the handlebar clamp but I just pulled it out no problem. I don't have the bike or service manual yet to look myself so just trying to figure it out before I order the bars next week. I've heard something about pins for the hand controls - is that CVO specific and if so can they just be removed like the pin in the clamp area without affecting anything?

not sure about the 18 specifically, but on my 2013, the difference is that the handlebars are 1-1/4'' throughout. not stepped down to 1'' at the risers.

if thats the case, then you can either replace the risers too, or get the wild1 adapter to allow 1'' bars to work on 1-1/4'' risers.

The pin at the risers is on the opposite side on the cvo’s. Remove the pin and they’ll fit.

Sharp bike. Did you go with F47 or yaffe, can't tell from the pic. If 14", did you stick with stock cables?

Thanks!
14” F47. I went with +4 clutch and brake lines. They say you can use the 14” and not change the lines. I preferred to have the lines remain in the stock locations. YMMV 🍻

I just installed them on my 18 CVO road glide. I called them and they will send you the classic model. I installed the F47-14” and was able to just move both brake and clutch lines on the other side of the risers and they worked out perfect. F47 is the only choice. They look great and feel that much better.
