If you're not already a subscriber they will give you a free 2 month trial, it's on their website now. If you are then the cheapest I've found is ~$30 for a 5 month subscription but don't forget to cancel otherwise they will jump you up to the full rate and continue month to month.

I;bought the module from a friend, then got the upgraded antennae. Of course, also the subscription. I’m very happy with it.

Turned mine on about a month ago. So far pleased but plan to relocate the antenna outside the fairing as many others have. It cuts out very easy with bridges and trees. Much more than my car does. Overall we are happy.

I've had XM on the bikes since 2011 and would not go without it. Just like the car, I very much appreciate keeping the same channel across the US if that's how far I am going. The reduced commercial breaks are a plus and the extensive channel lineups mean there is always something I want to listen to.

My antenna has always been in the stock/recommended position in the fairing except for most recently. I moved it to the 'passenger' (right) side of the fairing in support of a WHIM install on a 2017 bike. I've never thought I had a reception issue. I do lose connectivity under bridges and such if I stay under there for an extended time. But that's not a signal issue per se as much as it is a smaller buffer size in the Boom! systems as compared with cars.

If you ride a lot and want music or other content along the way, this is a must have and worth the investment.

I am a huge XM subscriber since I have so many vehicles. And on my Harley’s it’s been hit and miss on reception, I prefer the Bluetooth to my HD Radio from my Phone app SIRIUS XM subscription. For the most part all the same unless you are constantly changing stations then the phone app is more challenging.

I had several bikes before with the XM added and usually had to move the antenna up on the dash in the past. Harley apparently has redesigned the antenna and mine if fine in the under fairing stock location. Go for it, I like being able to select my music no matter how far back in the boonies or in the mountains I am, and NO freaking commericials

i activated XM this past sat. I'm already hooked. It has a good signal only dropping out for a second a few times then right back. i got the monthly 10.99 for 80 channels plan. I didn't give any credit card or anything. One question if i get the xm radio for my truck can i just have the radio id switched over during non MC season without having to deactivate my account or will they try to charge for that. i have a 2002 f-350 with the tape and cd player. its a Ford 7.3 diesel with 311k so its not getting replaced. thanks Jeff

I like XM in my cars and truck, a lot of my rides are on back roads with a lot of trees and the reception is in and out so that is a bit aggravating. I only had the free trial and then one 6 month 30 dollar deal and haven't renewed it.

I prefer my old Ipod and blue tooth iphone thru the headset.
