Riding my 2018 CVO street glide home this evening, third gear must have blown because when shifting into third gear there is no gear there anymore yeah just lotta rumbling inside the transmission , This with only 2000 miles on it called the dealer and told them to come and pick up the bike and Fix it for me!!!!
They said it will be a Couple of weeks before I get it back because we only have four Technicians working right now..... WTF

 

You are not the first one with this problem. When mine blew I put in a baker 7 speed

 

Luckily I purchased a five year extended warranty although it is still under its original two year factory warranty !!!!!!
I just hope they can fix it right the first time !!!!!!!!!!!

 

Are you running 20w50 in the tranny?

 

Yes the dealer did a 1000 mile service and used Syn3 in All

 

What exactly did they say was wrong with your transmission?

 

Another example of why I say SYN3 is not suitable as tranny oil.

 

I’ve been using SYN3 in my Harley Davidson‘s for over 15 years in the Engine, Transmission & Primaries with not a single problem EVER!!!!

Definitely not a lubrication problem more likely bad gears ?????

Ask to inspect the damaged parts and take some brightly lit clear pics of the damage. If it happened to you, it'll happen to someone else and posting those pics may help them with their warranty claim.

At 2K miles there's no excuse for failure.

 

Ask if they will provide a loaner for you to use while they do not have enough techs to work on your vehicle.
