Was so ready to trade in my 2017 CVO Limited as I put on a fair amount of mileage. Actually wanted to last fall for a 2019 but not too happy with HD’s sucky colors. So I hoped for the best with the 2020s. Well to me, H-D royally flunked. I like chrome, you know, the shiny stuff they use to put on bikes? That black chrome stuff gags me.

Well 2 of the 3 were black crap and the other was some sort of brushed or nickel looking stuff. So pushed I actually started reading up on Goldwings. Well the wife convinced me to look for the semi ugly black and brown CVO Limited so that’s what I ended up with. Just wonder what the upcoming years with H-D are going to be. At least with me.

Just looked at two of them yesterday.

Hell yes I'd spend 50k+ for one of these bikes.

When I went to trade in my 11 Ultra Limited in the fall of 2014, I went to this certain dealer because they had a 2010 CVO Streetglide in Red Metallic. one owner, older gentleman that kept it stock. Had 19K miles and mine had 18K. I had been contemplating it for a while and when I got there to try to work out a deal , it was gone. So I ended up trading tor a stock RK almost even up (17 vs 18K.) So for 1K, plus the crap, I get the bike with a $2K gift card for parts or whatever.
I decided right then that this may be my forever bike. I had always done my own work, and kept the exhaust, computer, and AC for when I traded in, I could unbolt my parts and transfer them or sell them. I wasn't sure what I wanted yet but it quickly came to me. I wanted the tins of a SGS, and went from there.
I found a rear fender on ebay, I think it was $250 with facia and light bar. Sold my rear fender for $200, found the front fender for $150, sold mine for $100. Found the CVO Chisel wheels with tires for $900. Sold mine for $400, Got the CVO RK seat for $250. sold mine for $150. You get the picture. So after all that and them some, almost never paying retail, and doing the work myself, I probably have about $2500 extra in what I got. I painted it last winter in my garage using ColorRite Rattle cans for $248 in paint, And about $40 in sand paper and polish. I would estimate to just keep dropping off at the dealer to have them do all the work, including the bars and chromed out front end, and paint would be an additional $15K.
So if I had to have someone do all the work, it would have made sense to just buy the CVO. But that isn't me.

Pick it up today, rode it about 110 miles at 40 degrees. That's my ranger in the back ground.

Is there a noticeable difference in the stock 107 and 117? I "assume " the stock exhaust on the CVO is a touch louder than the stock exhaust on the 107?

It's pretty quiet, I just ordered a set of Magnaflow Knockout series mufflers. I needed a 4" muffler to re-install the brushed heat shields.
